Nice percussion!
But it's lacking... catchyness i think :P
When you make a short song it really has to be catchy :P
Anyway, you did a good job, but it's not your best.

Cool and... toxic!
What's wrong with FeZaphobiK and Ciuka?
They just don't understand what it's like to me a song like this. And did he say the drums were bad?! I don't believe it!!! The drums are INSANE! Lol, sorry, but i just had to write that in caps :P
Anyway, back to the song.
Well, i think the score says enough. It has a score of 4.49 and that is pretty amazing :-)
Great job on this song Will!
MH16
Will!? this is Brad Pit, haven't you seen my movie Mr and Mrs Smith?
Yay, top 5! :D
And this track totally deserves it!
Really nice work man, i can't think of anything to improve.

Hey!
Hey! :D
You did a really good job on building my simple melody into such an awesome song!
I couldn't have done it myself :P
Oh and btw, can you write my name with capital letters? XD
Anyway, 5/5 and 10/10! :D
MH16
I am glad you liked it! I guess my hard work paid off :)
And i fixed the name!
And thanks for the comment also!
Well...
I actually have no ideas how to expand it further, but if you're really stuck there are 2 things you could do.
1. Leave this song for what it is and make a couple of other songs first. Then return back to this song and see if you can expand it. If not, repeat the process :P
2. Make this a loop. It sounds great and loops are very cool sometimes too! :D
Well, i hope i helped you a bit. And if i didn't help you then let me take away your dissapointment with a:

Well this song was made because I was stuck on my song "toxic" now I am stuck on this one...lol, thanks for the review though. I am sure I will figure something out soon enough.
Hmmm...
I think this is a pretty hard song to review review :P
There's so much going on and i can't really seperate all the melodies and bass lines. Well, i'm going to try anyway :-)
The 8-bit intro was pretty good. I don't really like 8-bit stuff, but that's just my personal taste. That low bell thing that is playing with it is pretty nice too.
Then the song suddenly explodes. I think a slower buildup fits better here, the low bass and the loudness of the song are a bit overwhelming.
I don't really know how to explain this, but i think that when a listener listens to a song he wants to hear what he expects to hear. Of course surprises can do a song good, but this change was just too much at a time.
Hey, now i know how to say it: the listener has to get used to a song. If you change the song so dramatically so early, the user didn't have much time to get used to the song.
I think that synth that is playing a little melody and comes in at 00:13 should have a higher volume. Not too much volume though, that would throw a listener of his seat :P
Hmmm, it could also be that that bass synth is just too loud...
Then those bells come in and the rest of the song just repeats itself.
At 00:40 the song calms down a bit, but the bass is way too loud at that point. The bass was a bit loud before, but in this part it's WAY too loud.
There's a really strange stutter of the song at 00:46, i don't know what that is :P
At 00:53 the song calms down more and that part is REALLY nice. REALLY nice!
I think that the best part of the song is from 00:53, to the ending. It's just so smooth and easy to listen too.
I love those smooth bells, but the bass is still a bit distorded though. I think a smoother bass would've fit more in this part of the song.
At the end you throw a little reversed part and this time (not like your other song) it's time perfectly and it's just a very good outro.
Conclusion:
This song has potential, but there are too many things holding the song back. An example of that is the bass, which is also the biggest problem. I think you tried to make the bass sound very powerful, but it's too distorded and loud.
Overall i give you an 8,5 out of 10. It's a pity you can't work on this track anymore, because you didn't save it :P
Oh, and don't think that i think that this was a bad song because of this review. I just tried to point out what could've been better ;-)
Keep making those songs! :D
8,5/10
5/5 (i wanted to give you a 4/5, but i didn't because of the low rating :P)

Whoa! What a freaking awesome review, man! :D Thanks!!
That's a lot for me to improve on ---yes I know stupid project file>:( And electronic isn't quite my thing..I do relatively few of that kind of stuff, well..except Chippish..that was actually half decent. But yeah =D
This was very, very helpful. But you better start making me crappy reviews..or else I'll be calling you down to review every freaking..err..couple months when I post a song... >:D
[by the way, my speakers have frequency knobs (I don't know if others do?)...and what do you know? My treble knob > bass knob. yeah. >.< so thanks for telling me it was real bassy! now I know xD ]
Nice bells and melodies! :D
Haha, cool, you make music too! :-)
Well, let's start at the intro.
The intro is pretty nice and smooth, but there's is something i don't like about it. I can't really say what, but i think it's not powerful enough. And with powerful i don't mean loud, a very quiet intro can be powerful too.
Then the bells come in. I really like the sound of those bells and the melody that it's playing is very nice!
You could've made things smoother when the next synth comes in, now it just suddenly pops into the song :P
I love it when that higher bell comes in. It's probably the thing that i like the most about this song. It's so soft and smooth, yet very attention demanding :P
When the violins take over it's like the song stutters every now and then. It's pretty weird XD
The violins are pretty nice though.
To be honest i don't like the transistion to the reversed part at all. The reversed part comes at a really unexpected moment.
But the reversed part itself is pretty nice and original too!
Overall i think that the song is very good, but that it's less enjoyable because of the small flaws here and there. But with or without the little flaws, this song deserves to have a 10/10 and a 5/5 :D
Well, that was my review. I hope that i wrote some things that are helpful to you.
Lol, 'course I make music! >:P
I'm so happy for some new input, you can't imagine. This did help :3
Thanks for listening! :D:D! And leaving an awesome review <3 !
1.83?!
Before i 5ed this, you had a score of 1.83. Newgrounds just isn't fair sometimes :(
But hey, what does a rating say if you know that you deserved better?
Anyway, i really like the deepness of the song. I'll put on my headphones now, to check if i can discover any flaws or imperfections.
It seems like the percussion is panned to much to the left, you could change that.
Well, that's actually the only imperfection i can hear, the rest of the song is really great.
Wait, now that i hear it for a 2nd time, i think the outro could've been better. It feels kinda awkward to just fade out.
So, that's my review, i hope i helped you :D
MH16
the first vote for this was definatly a zero
Gonna have to solo the drums and listen to them again...
And I might add a lead during the fade
Thanks for the review! Will be returned
It feels like i'm chased by evil itself
I'm putting you on my favourite artist list.
This song is full of little details and it's just so well composed. Man, everytime i make a song you give me very helpful reviews and i want to write helpful reviews back, but i can't. I can't hear anything to improve.
I guess i'll have to write a little story then :P
00:00-00:02
I see some sort of demon and it's a very creepy one.
00:03-00:23
After being in some sort of a shock, i decide to run.
I'm running for my life and a demon is chasing me, how more exiting can it be?
00:24-00:34
A dead end!
The demon is getting closer rapidly and i have no idea which way to go!
What should i do?
00:35-00:44
Fortunatly, i see a small hole in the wall and i'm crouching through it. The demon doesn't fit in the hole, so i'm finally safe.
00:45-00:55
When i reach the end of the little tunnel i crouch out and see a ruined city. I look around me searching for a sign of life.
00:56-01:16
I get a strange feeling that somebody's watching me, but i just continue walking in the city, wondering what could've damaged the buildings so badly.
01:17-01:37
Oh no, there's that demon again! I decide to hide in a house, because i think he didn't see me... or did he?
01:38-01:48
The demon is really close now, i can hear him breathing. He breaths really heavy and that makes me even more scared.
01:49-02:05
Phew, it walks away from me now. That's a big relief.
I walk out of the ruined house, into the forest.
02:06-02:17
Suddenly i hear i loud scream pretty close to me. I don't know where the scream came from or who produced the scream, but i run. I run as fast as my legs can carry me.
02:18-02:38
I look behind me and i see another demon is chasing me know. I know that this isn't the one i saw before, because this one is twice as big! NOOO!!!
02:39-02:51
I trip over a big branch that fell of a tree. The demon comes closer and closer... will this be the end of me?
02:52-03:02
Suddenly the sun begins to shine very bright. The demon dissolves in the rays of the sun and i am saved
03:03-03:10
I wake up in my bed.
All of this was a dream... or wasn't it?...
That story fit perfectly with the song, I have to say. Especially the part where he's getting chased by an even bigger demon. This makes me want to tell a story of my own:
Pre-story:
Thousands of slaves are toiling under the monstrous tyranny of their captors, but today is the day that they will fight for their freedom....or die!!!
0:00
A few sporadic fights break out. They gain momentum and grow into a huge riot.
0:13
The fighting gets more organized and intense, and the revolution has begun.
0:23
The leader of the rebels smiles proudly at his men, while suiting up for a long and vicious battle.
0:34
He starts giving commands to his generals, and they in turn start giving commands to their men. The slaves-now-rebels jump into formation, armed to the teeth with their smuggled weaponry.
0:45
Now they start toward the battlefield, marching in their formation to the drumbeat.
0:56
The battle intensifies. Men drop one after another. Blood stains the soil, and the sound of clashing swords can be heard for miles.
1:17
The rebel leader witnesses his best friend and toughest ally get slain by an enemy soldier. However, the leader is unable to do anything due to being engaged with another soldier. Rage starts building, and continues to build even as two other soldiers join in the attack on him. He struggles with them at first, but starts to fight back as the rage builds up enough
1:28
He strikes all three soldiers down, one by one! Rage peaking, he mowes through a whole line of soldiers. His men, witnessing this, rally and start to mow down their opponents too. Meanwhile, the leader pursues the soldier who killed his best friend.
1:38
The leader catches the soldier, who had managed to kill 5 other rebels prior. He and the rebel leader lock in an epic battle. Meanwhile, the enemy's ranks start to look thin as the rebels cut through them.
2:00
The leader parries a blow, knocking the enemy soldier off guard, then delivers the final blow, a stab directly in the heart of the enemy soldier.
1:52
Meanwhile, a rebel's wife watches the battle unfold from a safe distance, full of fear for her husband's safety and the safety of the rebels as a whole.
2:02
A slow smile creeps across her face when she realizes that the rebels are winning...until she sees the forces advancing from the west.
2:07
These forces aren't like the forces that the rebels are fighting. These new forces are better trained and more equipped. They march toward the battle with the look of seasoned professionals.
The leader sees them, and immediately warns his men of the upcoming battle.
2:18
The new soldiers join the fight, and what was once a war has become a bloodbath. Many a rebel and a soldier fall during this battle. The leader almost loses hope, even as he fights for his life and the lives of others.
2:29
A glimmer of hope....the enemy forces start retreating. The rebels gain morale and expel the last of the soldiers.
2:39
The last of the soldiers flee.
2:44
The rebels begin to survey the death toll. It is vast. The wives begin to come back, many of them now widows. With the rebels together again, they collect their wounded, collect any provisions that they can and start their arduous journey to a safe haven.
They finally gained their freedom, but only 10% of them lived to experience it....
Even better
This is better than the other version. And that's really cool, because the other version was already very good.
So, actually i have to give you a 11 or 12 out of 10, but since that isn't possible you get a
10/10
5/5
MH16
*sigh
I still don't think this is at it's zenith, I can still make this better so I am going to keep doing that. This is a draft I guess but it's a pretty solid draft at that. you'll just have to give the next one a 15, ;D
review appreciated.
I see you..
