Hi!

So, i have a new name. My former name was 'MH16' and i just didn't like it anymore. It looked random, although it wasn't, and i didn't like that fact that there was a number in it.

And yeah, i made a new song too. Go check it out, i think it's one of my better songs.

Any more news? Hmm.. yeah. I'm still having fun playing with my band, although we aren't serious at all. But that doesn't matter, as long as we have fun. And we have.
I'm doing pretty good at school and i'm getting to know my classmates better too. Yeah, school is getting more awesome.
And i am getting more awesome, for some reason. I mean, i'm starting to feel more awesome and that's a really good thing.

Also, i'm in a band called 'The Infanteers' and we have much fun together. We aren't really serious yet, but i think that'll change in time.

So, i'm joining the Movie Score Collaboration.
What is the Movie Score Collaboration you ask?
Well, basicly the idea behind this is to create a movie score for a fictional movie using all sorts of genres. And here's the thread.
I'm going to make the scene ''Finding a lost friend'' or the ending credits. I already started to compose, but i don't know which one of the two fits better :p

I thought it was time to make a new newspost, so here we go!

Band

I'm in a band now, as a drummer. We've played together two times now and it's so much fun. We didn't really decide which songs we're going to cover though, but that'll happen this week. Also, we don't have a name yet. If you can think of a good name then feel free to post it in the comments ;p
We play together every Friday from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.

School

I'm doing pretty good at school so far. The start of the year was kinda hard though, because the school was completely new to me and i didn't know anybody. But i made some friends now. Funny thing is that one of these friends invited me to the band that i was talking about.

Composing

It's not as easy as it used to be.
I think that's because i'm getting more aware of what i'm actually doing, if you know what i mean. I'm learning more music theory at school and that's really influencing me, but not in a good way so far. I think/hope that'll change after some time.
Also, here's my latest work. And yes, i'm fully aware of the simple chord progression.

I made a new song!

After a period of little to no inspiration, i created a new song again.
I really like how it came out, and i hope you'll do too.

It'll be my first band and i will be the drummer there. It's going to be so cool! :D
We have to arrange some things before we can actually play though, but i'm sure that won't be too much of a problem :-)

Also, there are only a few types of songs that i review, because i suck at reviewing electronic music. However, still send me a PM when you want an electronic song reviewed, because your song might just be an exeption.
I try to make my reviews long an thorough and you'll get criticism too, so don't be mad when i write a negative review. Also, PLEASE RESPOND TO THE REVIEWS YOU GET. When i write a review and the artist doesn't respond it feels like my review was useless.
Also, i write only one review per day. And maybe less sometimes, i have a life too you know.

I'm back from vacation! I went to Normandy (France) with my eldest brother.
If you wondered what i did and stuff, you can read it here. Also, i'll link to a picture or two that fits with the day.
Let's start with

Monday

On monday, it all began. At 4 in the morning we woke up and had some breakfast. We packed the car and we left at 5 AM. Because of our GPS system which isn't really good, we travelled for 11 hours before we reached our destination: Honfleur.
We stayed in a hotel there. We had a room with (french -_-) television, 2 beds and a bathroom. And every morning we had breakfast in the hotel.
After we brought our bags to our room we decided to eat somewhere, so we walked to the centre of the city.
Now, i don't really speak French and my brother's French is even worse than mine, so we just ordered ''deux plat du jour'' (two menus of the day) :P
When we were finished eating we explored the town and it surroundings. I have to say, it was beautiful!
For the rest we didn't really do much.

Tuesday

On Tuesday we went to a bunker that was left from the second world war. We had some trouble finding the bunker, but we managed to find it eventually.
It was pretty interesting to see how the soldiers lived in the bunker. It was actually a pretty weird thought that 70 years ago people actually lived there and were in a war.
The bunker itself looked like a tower from the outside, so you had a part that was below the surface and a part that was used as a watch tower. Ofcourse, we also climbed on top of the tower, but we quickly headed inside again because of the rain.
After that we drove back and walked through the city some more. We also climbed up a hill that was on the other side of the city and there we had a really nice view.

Wednesday

This day we didn't really do much. All we did was playing tennis and hang around in the hotel a bit :P
Oh, and we toured through the surrounding cities of Honfleur.

Thursday

On Thursday we went to a safari park. It was pretty cool and we made some cool pictures too.
First we had a tour through the park on a train. The only problem was that there was some kind of school trip so there were a LOT of kids screaming and talking.
After that tour, we walked through the park ourselves, but i had a nose bleed. A terrible one too.
I have nose bleeds quite often, but this time i was in the middle of a park with no tissues or anything, so we had to walk all the way back to the toilets. After that little incident we didn't really feel like walking all the way back again, so we left.

Friday

We didn't really do anything on Friday too, except for driving through Normandy.
It was the last day of the vacation and we were pretty tired plus we almost ran out of money :P

Saturday

We had breakfast at seven in the morning and we left at eight. The ride home was much shorter than the ride to the hotel; we drove for 7 or 8 hours. This is because we only stopped twice, had a faster route and didn't drove in the wrong direction :P
