Newspost adventures (#1)

Posted by FairSquare - June 8th, 2011

I just named this newspost 'Newspost adventures', but i have no idea what i'm going to write.
Maybe that's why i named it so, because writing this is an adventure.
Sort of.
I mean, i have no plan in my head and points to refer to. I just write stuff. Like an adventure.

Maybe i can tell you what i did today. Maybe you'll find that interesting.
Well, today i went to the city with a friend of mine.
We didn't really have a purpose for being there, but we just walked around.
And we ate ice cream. I love ice cream.
Also, there was this fountain (actually just a few streams of water coming out of holes in the ground) and she dared me to run through it.
So i did.
I didn't get really wet, fortunately. But it was fun. And after that she ran through it too.
Good times.
This whole 'going to the city' thing was in the afternoon.
In the evening i went to a pub to play darts with my brother.
Now, this sounds fun (and it was) but i can't dart for shit so he won every time.
So yeah, that wasn't nice since i like to win. Who doesn't?

Ha, i just added ''(#1)'' to the newspost title. Because i got the idea that i can make a series out of this, by making a new newspost adventure every once in a while.
Not that anyone cares, but hey, i like to write.

Now, if all of the above doesn't interest you or you don't want to talk about it, here's something for you to discuss in the comments:
-What was the most painful realization you made when you grew up?-

I know, not really a cheerful question. But a question, is a question, is a question.

An adventure with teal deer in the IDC forest! :3

Pfft, whatever.
:(

that resources are finite.

Good one.
But what made you realize this? An experience you had?

That a lot of relationships go sour, no matter how committed they once were.

True.
People change.

That you sometimes canĀ“t do anything to safe a person.

I know that you like being corrected on your English and that's why i'm telling you it's 'to save' and not 'to safe'.
Anyway, yeah. Quite sad and the feeling of powerlessness is awful let alone the consequences.

Yeah we suddenly didn't have more ice cream in the freezer

:O
That must've been a very painful moment.
I can understand that that has been a shocking discovery.
It's amazing how you recovered after such a life changing event.
I have a huge amount of respect for you now, SBB. A huge amount.

Ummmm painful realizations...

1. Every day, doors close on us - for good. Probably why I hate seeing kids wasting amazing opportunities.

2. I will have to work for the man every day until I die, and you probably will as well.

1. Yeah.. a lot of new doors open too. But i see your point. Quite sad :(

2. I actually don't really mind that, if i'll get the sort of job that i want. And that's a job where i can really help people with their day to day problems.
Things could be a lot worse though.
